I did it! I toughed it out and finished this series!

This is probably the quickest I’ve read a series just to get it finished. There are two reasons that made be push through, 1, I bought the box set of the books before realizing that I didn’t really like where the story was going and 2, part of me hoped that it would get better.

I felt there was so much potential with this story but it didn’t live up to my expectations at all! I think this is mainly because of the backward, old-fashioned way that Eve has to almost sacrifice her free will just to be part of Ashers Clan! To me, that’s not what loving someone should be about. Also, the constant drooling over one another did continue throughout the whole series.

I still adore Gage! he’s such a fab character, I was hoping to read more about him but he seemed to be pushed into the background a lot as the focus was on Eve and Asher. (I have found out there is a spin-off series that follows this series which follows Gages family so I think I may give this one ago)

The other supporting characters are probably the only redeeming thing about this book, I felt more connection to Mckenna (who is against the whole Asher/Eve partnership throughout the series) she is much more my type of character.

I’m gonna give all 3 books a 3/5 rating as they didn’t really improve.
