Thoughts

WOW!!! That was most definitely worth the wait! This book was such an emotional rollercoaster and I loved every single damn page 😊

Story

I thought the story had great flow and was written really well. Feyre spent just the right amount of time at the spring court, I was a bit worried she was going to be there for ages. I loved how BA Feyre was in this book.

I Don’t really want to write too much about what happens but the parts that I really loved were:

Feyre taking apart the Spring Court from the inside…. So satisfying. Ianthe finally got what was coming to her.

The Feysand reunion was epic I loved it! Also, Rhys setting Lucian straight on them being mates was spot on:

“Feyre did not dishonor or betray Tamlin. I revealed the mating bond months later—and she gave me hell for it, don’t worry. But now that you’ve found your mate in a similar situation, perhaps you will try to understand how it felt. And if you can’t be bothered, then I hope you’re wise enough to keep your mouth shut, because the next time you look at my mate with that disdain and disgust, I won’t bother to explain it again, and I will rip out your fucking throat.”

Nesta and Cassian!!! I am shipping them so hard right now. Their scenes together were so awesome 💚

Rhys telling Feyre she bows to no one before they enter a meeting with the other High Lords and taking Tamlin’s voice away when he starts insulting Feyre.

The Bone Carver and The Weaver coming to help in the final battle

Amran’s true form.

The return of Papa Archeron and his ships!

Characters

Feyre has really grown in this book, she backs down from nothing and love that she got to make Ianthe suffer, and at then when she looks into that Mirror and accepts herself as she is – it just gave me a new respect for her.

Rhys – is there a better male in literature right now? I think not, the thing that makes him so amazing is that he’s not perfect and I think that makes his very character relatable. He’s been through so much shit and he’s still fighting, still dreaming… (sigh)

Tamlin – still a complete ass, yes he had a few redeeming moments but overall still a douche. It will be interesting to see if he features in any of the future books.

Nesta – I think the more I read of Nesta the more and more I like her. I love how her character is written to be so closed off to feelings but her actions show what’s really going on – Please Sarah give her and Cassian their own book.

Mor – she kind of annoyed me in this book. (SPOILERS AHEAD) I have no problem with her prefer women over men, and the fact that she felt she has had to hide this from everyone is pretty sad. But stringing along your supposed friend for 500 years is not ok. Even if she couldn’t tell him the whole truth she could have sat down with him and explained it was never going to happen.

The big shock for me is that I actually don’t want Elaine with Lucian anymore, I know they are mates but damn I think her and Az are much better suited. He was so cute with her in this book  💚

Favorite Quote:

“You do not fear,” Rhys breathed. “You do not falter. You do not yield. You go in, you get her, and you come out again.” I nodded again, holding his stare. “Remember that you are a wolf. And you cannot be caged.”

Conclusion:

I finished this book Tuesday evening and it left me feeling totally ruined! It was actually a bittersweet moment when I came to the end because yes the finally the wait was over but now so is story… I’m trying console myself with the fact that there will be more books but I just want more Feyre and Rhys!!

So yeah if you loved the first two books that you will like this one. I just want to say that there are a lot of people comparing this to ACOMAF and saying it’s not as good, but I have to say that the focus for each book is totally different so in my opinion comparing them is a moot point.

My Rating:  5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
