I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

To say I was excited to receive this book is an understatement. So before I get into the review I want to say thank you to team Erin Watt for sending providing me with this ARC.

This is the fourth book of The Royals Series and is told from Easton’s perspective. I have to say that I didn’t particularly have any strong feelings about Easton when I read the first 3 books, sure I thought he was an ok supporting character but apart from that I didn’t really think that much of him, but in this book, he definitely grew on me.

I really loved Hartley, I love how she took no shit from Easton and wasn’t won over by his Royal charm, ⬅️ See what I did there?  Aside from her being ballsy I also enjoyed finding out about her. During the reading of this book I thought it was a shame that we didn’t get Hartley’s perspective on things but looking back I think it was actually a good thing because it gave the story a lot more tension because we didn’t know her thoughts.

Of course, all the old characters are sprinkled throughout, I really liked that we go to see snippets of how Ella and Reed were doing and we even got a little update on Steve’s trial!

And that ending!! Holy crap! I was not expecting that! Talk about a freaking cliff hanger!! I can’t wait for Cracked Kingdom to come out….. it’s going to be a bloody long winter!

The Bottom Line:

If you have read the first 3 books in the series then this is a must read. This is my new favorite read of the summer. I just loved it! Well done Erin Watt another brilliant read. Now I must nurse my book hangover!!
