Let’s Talk (#14) Book Theme Songs

Hi, guys ‘n’ girls!

It has come to my attention that I have yet to music/book mash up post. So today I thought it would be fun to pick out songs that I think would make good theme songs for some of my favorite books. This turned out to be turned out to be trickier than I thought, but it was really entertaining too.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Stars by Sixx:AM

When I ever I listen to this song it always reminds me of Rhys and Feyre on Starfall

The Host by Stephanie Meyer

Smile Like You Mean It by The Killers

Back when I first read the host I listened to this song on repeat so of course it always makes me think of the book. But I also think the lyrics kinda fit with the story.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Kings and Queens by 30 Seconds to Mars

I just think this song captures the story perfectly, particularly these lyrics:

“Into your eyes
Hopeless and taken
We stole our new lives
Through blood and name
In defense of our dreams
In defense of our dreams”

Also whilst researching for this I happened to listen to Stay by Rihanna and it really made me think of Darrow and Mustangs relationship so I’m also including this one too.

Throne of Glass Series, Heir of Fire onwards by Sarah J. Maas.

Bonfire Heart by James Blunt

I chose this one because to me it describes Aelin and Rowans relationship perfectly, especially the beginning part of the song.

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Paradise City by Guns N’ Roses

Ok, this is technically not my pick but I don’t think there is another song that I could even begin to associate with this series.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Iris by Goo Goo Dolls

This song just makes me think of forbidden love and that is the basic premise of Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

And that it! This post was super fun, I’d love to hear from you if you have other songs that you associate with any of these books!

Until next time! 🤓
