Review
This book was a cute little read with lots of steaminess thrown in. Lucas is an up and coming quarterback and it taking part in summer training. Gillian is an athletic intern and the coaches daughter. When she and Lucas met there is an almost instant attraction between them, which leads them to agree to have a secret fling that ends when the summer ends.
This book is told from in the first person, from the dual perspective of Gillian and Lucas. I thought it was well written and flowed really nicely.
I liked both the main characters, and I enjoyed the chemistry they shared. I liked the speed at which the story developed, I do love a slow burn romance and this really ticked the box for me. I also really liked the forbidden romance element, I enjoyed all the sneaking around – somehow its always more steamy!
I thought the back stories that Gillian and Lucas were good and gave their character’s lots of depth. Particularly Lucas because he really has had to fight his way to the top.
There was a lot of (American) football talk in this book, which I found quite interesting being from the UK.
To finish I loved how Kim Karr wrapped up the story. it was perfect and cute and just everything you want from a romance novel.

If you like sports romance then this book is a no-brainer! GO PRE-ORDER!
