Welcome to my first off topic post. This week I’m sharing all the different resources I use to blog.
Graphics
To create the vast majority of the graphics you see on this blog I used Canva. This is one of my favorite tools to use. Canva is an online graphic design tool, the great thing about it is that accounts are completely free to make and you only need pay if you want to use premium features. It also has lots of pre-made templates for a variety of different social media platforms which are fully customisable as well as the option to input your own size template.
For images I use Pixabay, this is an international website for sharing high-quality photos, illustrations, vector graphics and film footage. Again accounts are free to make. All images have a creative commons deed which means anyone can use, modify and distribute images freely including commercial use without asking permission or giving accreditation.
Planning
When I first started blogging I just used the notes on my iPhone to jot down ideas, which was especially handy if I was out and about. However, as time has gone on I found that I needed something a bit more substantial so now I have this nifty bloggers journal which you can get from Paperchase. It has lots of different sections to help you get your blog organized.
I also (for the first ever) bought a diary/planner which has been particularly helpful in keeping tracking of all the arcs and promo tours I have signed up for this year. This was one of the things that stressed me out a lot towards the end of last year. I signed up for all these different things but didn’t have the foresight to have something to keep track of anything. I
purchased the Boxclever Pocket Life Book Diary which you can buy directly from Boxclever
Post Ideas
When it comes to coming up for ideas for a post there is no one place I get ideas from, sometimes inspiration comes from what I’m reading or something I have seen on social media, in fact, my post about Tamlin came about because of a discussion on a facebook group. However, if I’m out of ideas I do turn to good old google.
That’s it I’d love to hear from you what things you use to blog, please feel free to leave a comment below.
Until Next Time! 🤓
Thanks for sharing your resources! I use Canva and love it! Makes everything look put together😊

I don’t think I could blog if I didn’t have Canva. It is awesome!

I just started using Canva and used it to do a Tweet. I also used it to design my header on Twitter @cecelibrarian. I am also thinking about using Adobe Spark to design something for a post.

It’s a really handy thing to use when I can’t be bothered with Photoshop which is what I used to design my header. I check out your twitter, your header looks great 👍🏼
