The Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

I haven’t done a tag for ages! I found this tag over on Darque the Dreamer Reads Blog and thought looked super fun I have a lot of opinions so this tag really appealed to me.

Lets get started:

A POPULAR BOOK OR BOOK SERIES THAT YOU DIDN’T LIKE

THUG: The Hate You Give – I really thought this book was overrated, it was getting a lot of hype last year which is the main reason why I read it. I wrote a review of my thoughts so have a look at that here.

 

A POPULAR BOOK OR BOOK SERIES THAT EVERYONE ELSE SEEMS TO HATE BUT YOU LOVE:

hmm I don’t think I have one… I tend to hate books that other people love!

AN OTP THAT YOU DON’T LIKE:

Celaena and Choal from Throne of Glass – I hated them together throughout my entire read of Crown at Midnight. There are some people in the fandom that ship them so hard – I just don’t get it, they are so not right for one another.

A POPULAR BOOK GENRE THAT YOU HARDLY REACH FOR:

Probably Mystery – I just have no interest.

 

A POPULAR/BELOVED CHARACTER THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE: 

I don’t know if you can class him as beloved, but Tamlin for ACOTAR – I freaking hate this guy – but I see people all the time who love him on social media 🤮

 

 

A POPULAR AUTHOR THAT YOU CAN’T SEEM TO GET INTO:

BB. Hammel – I’ve tried a couple of her books and they are just not for me.

A POPULAR BOOK TROPE THAT YOU’RE TIRED OF SEEING:

Overly possessive male characters who treat the female protagonist like crap.

A POPULAR SERIES THAT YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN READING:

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Gods… The Mortal Instruments was bad enough so yeah, no thanks.

THE SAYING GOES “THE BOOK IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE”, BUT WHAT MOVIE OR TV SHOW ADAPTATION DO YOU PREFER MORE THAN THE BOOK:

Definitely The Vampire Diaries – I could not get into the books at all the but TV Show was great.
