Synopsis
Everyone in Cedar Creek, Texas, knows Jack McNight is an arrogant devil. Physically, I get it: he’s tan and fit, with coal-black hair that’s clearly been scorched by hellfire. Oh, and his personality? It burns just as hot.
When I show up on the doorstep of Blue Stone Ranch, I’m run-down and rockin’ my last pair of underwear. I’m hoping for a savior, but instead, I find him.
My opinion of Jack is marred by a dismal first impression, but his opinion of me is tainted even before I arrive. He’s heard I’m a spoiled princess there to take advantage of his goodwill. To him, I’m more trouble than I’m worth.
Our button-pushing banter should get under my skin. His arrogance should be a major turn-off. Problem is, devils are known to offer their own form of temptation.
Every one of his steely glares sends a shiver down my spine.
Every steamy encounter leaves me reeling.
Sure, it could be the Texas heat messing with my head, but there’s no way I’ll survive the summer without silencing him with a kiss and wrestling him out of those Wranglers.
Who knows…going to bed with the devil might just be the salvation I’ve been looking for all along.

Review
*I recieved an advacned copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Meredith flees California to get away from her Husband, hoping that her sister in Texas can help her out she heads out there. The only problem is her sister is overseas traveling and her house is being renovated so with no other options she has to stay and work for Jack – her sisters boss, the devil himself.
Rachel really has done it again! Her stories just keep getting better and better and I feel I can say this because there are only 2 books of hers that I haven’t read yet, she does slow burn romance like no other and this book was no exception.
The tension between Meredith and Jack is palpable. Reading their witting exchanges was a pure joy. It did take me a little while to warm to Jack because he does unfairly judge’s Meredith at the beginning which made me so mad because her reasons for leaving her husband are a lot more horrible than what he thinks, but he did redeem himself once he realised what was really going on.
Meredith, I loved her, she has left her husband because he has been emotionally abusive to her throughout most their marriage and she has finally found the courage to leave and this was where Rachel really made me happy, because she described in perfect detail what its like to be in that situation and what the cycles of abuse are and not only that but she captured what most victims of domestic feel: shame and embarrassment which is where Meredith is at the beginning of the book.
So yes this book was beautifully written and I loved every single page. The ending was everything I wanted it to be. I would definitly recommend this book!
