Plot 

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role.

The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime–one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

My Thoughts 

I relise that this movie has not been released world wide yet so I’m going to try and keep this as spoiler free as possible. I saw this movie on Wednesday when it released here in the UK.  I’ve been so excited to see this movie ever since I watched Justice League and I got my first glimpse of Aquaman, also I might have a tiny thing for Jason Mamoa…

Anyway this movie was great, I think its probably the best DC movie so far, I’d go as far as to say better than Wonder Women,  which I really enjoyed. The story was immersive and complete, I mean there was one tiny thing that I thought could have been a bit more explained but it didn’t really affect the overall storyline.

Things that I thougtht were particulary good was the story of Arthurs parents. They were never have supposed to meet and yet some how they did and guys its so sweet, it really gives you all the feels.

I also loved all the action scenes, theres a fighting scene just over halfway through and the way its shot was awesome. A little bit different but it worked so well, which brings use to visual effects. This is DC mostly falls short with their movies, I mean the CGI in Batman Vs Superman was well sucky to be frank and it wasn’t perfect in this one either but it was 10x better then previous movies, also I was expecting amazing, CGI water is once of the hardest visual effects to do and since the majority of this movie is underwater I think they did a half decent job.
