Going into this I wasn’t really expecting too much from it, I certainly didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, which was a nice surprise. For a hockey romance, it had a lot of depth to it.

Chandler and Amelia are both damaged individuals, who have both been hurt by the people who were supposed to love them and they are trying to rebuild after all the darkness. Amelia’s recovering from an abusive marriage and Chandler has just divorced a gold digger. Neither of them is looking for love but they just can’t seem to stay away from each other.

I liked both characters equally. I thought they were very well written, and really well developed which made them feel complete and whole so connecting to them was easy.  The storyline went in a fairly typical direction and it really was the characters that made this story great.

Overall this was fab read, perfect if you are a fan of sports romance.
