The Prompt for this weeks hop is:Β

25th – 31st – How many books did you read last year? Will your goal be to match that number or surpass it? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Last year I read 123 books and it was fairly stressful just trying to get to the number let alone the 130 goal I had set myself so I don’t feel too bad that I didn’t meet this goal. At the beginning of January, I set my goal for this year to 125 and a few weeks in I was already freaking about being behind on the number of books I’d read during the week.

When I feel like I have to read more and more I tend to pick romance books because most of them are fairly easy reads and I tend to read them quicker than say a Fantasy or a Sci-fi, but by doing this I’m lowering the quality of books that I’m reading and I find myself not reading the books that I really want to because they take too long. So last week I made the decision to lower my goal even further to 100. If I surpass that then great but if I don’t then I’m cool with that too because I can take my time now and get to books that I really want to read.
