GoodReads
I missed my goal again last year, so I’ve lowered my goal to 90. For some reason, I seem to be reading at a much more slower pace recently.
Beat the Backlist
The book must have been published in 2019 or earlier to count. It can be in any format (including an ARC/eARC) as long as the release date is 2019 or earlier (i.e. 2020 releases are not allowed).
You have to start and finish the book in 2020 to count it. Any books started in 2019 and finished in 2020 do not count. Any books started in 2020 and finished in 2021 also do not count.
The challenge runs from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020
(your local time)
Everything beyond these 3 rules is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL and designed just for fun so you can put in as much or as little as you want into this challenge.
More info and sign up can be found here!
Last year I read 33/50 that I challenged myself, I just always seem to add more to my tbr then I end up reading. This time I’m setting my load to a more realistic target of 35.

Challenged myself to read 1 leisure book for the Goodreads Challenge. Haven’t done any leisure reading in a shamefully long amount of time.

I’ve set up Goodreads challenges for the past 3 years. I set it at 150 books. I read a lot of picture books based on the students I serve and read and enjoy books with. I also get through several middle grade books and maybe 1 or 2 YA.
I also do the Beat the Backlist challenge and Carrie Gelson’s Must Read in 2020 challenge.
