[#4] Blogtober: Best & Worst Movie Adaptations

Todays topic comes from Carmen’s Reading Corner

Best Movie Adaptation:

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

I was one of those people that watched this movie in the Cinema with no prior knowledge of what LOTR’s was about. It wasn’t until a few years later that I read the book and I think Peter Jackson did a fantastic job with the movie. Yes lots of bits were cut but the story in the movie still makes sense and is highly enjoyable, although it would have been fairly amusing to see Orlando Bloom sing.

Worse Movie Adaptation:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I freaking love the HP books and I’m not particulary happy with how any of books were adapted for the big screen but The Dealthy Hallows Pt1 & Pt2 really fudging annoyed me, 2 things stand out: –

  1. How they demonised Ron!! The books gave a better explanation about how the Horcrux effected him.
  2. Voldemorts death!! << this one is the actual worst I’m still not over it.
