Review

I really wanted to love this book but just didn’t hit the mark for me. I had trouble connecting to the characters, they felt very flat, and I couldn’t find any depth to them.

The story itself was fairly entertaining but again it felt like something was missing… I thought Hazy accepting that Godrick was a vampire happened way too quickly, it was strange. Hazy’s friends were annoying and didn’t really add anything to the story and I wasn’t a huge fan of Godric’s brothers either. There was also a lot of telling and not showing which, I didn’t enjoy.

Overall this was an ok read, nothing really stood out. It did give me some twilight vibes in certain places and if that’s your kind of thing you will enjoy this book, but it just made me cringe!

My Rating: 2/5 🌟🌟

About the Author‘s

Eva Knight, the paranormal alter ego of Helena Hunting, loves all things romance and spice. When she isn’t busy writing spicy college vampire romance, she’s devouring her favorite romance novels, or binge watching dark comedies on Netflix with her void kitty, Pumpkin. Her favorite non-reading past-times include running (on purpose), Scrabble (when she can find someone to play with her), cribbage (with her dad) and cross-stitching gnomes (the actual act of cross-stitching, not collecting gnomes who cross-stitch).
